Project Chronology
- September 1987: Inauguration of the first phase of Line 1 from Helwan to
Mubarak station.
- April 1989: Inauguration and putting into service of the second phase of
Line 1 between Mubarak station and El MargOctober 1992: Inauguration and
putting into service of the Centralized Control Building " Ramses
Complex" for Line 1.
ALSTOM has participated in all the project stages for the following systems
:
- Rolling Stock.
- AC power supply.
- DC transformer-rectifier units.
- DC switchgear in sub stations.
- DC switchgear in-line distribution.
- 1500 V DC catenaries works.
- Stations equipment.
- Centralized control.
- Signalling & Driving Modes.
