GT9 Blading Order for
Power Service Egypt |
|
|
10/01/2006

|
|
PS Egypt has been awarded an
order to supply a complete set of GT9 turbine and compressor blading for unit 3
at the Siouf Power Station.
|
|
|
The order, amounting to
â¬2.5 Million, was placed by the West Delta Electricity
Production Company, an affiliate of the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company.
The gas turbine has been out of operation since mid-October after a forced
outage due to compressor and turbine blade damage.
Reblading the gas turbine will result in higher availability and reliability,
and the chances of a further forced outage due to the aging of the unit will be
significantly reduced. ALSTOM has been able to support the customer with a
short delivery period. Four weeks were required for the first delivery, and the
completion of all deliveries should be completed within twelve weeks.
The Siouf Power Plant is located east of Alexandria and consists of three 33 MW
GT9D1 gas turbines. |
