Cairo.
This project is in the framework of the Electricity Sector's current five year

industrial development and satisfying increasing household demand on
electricity.
El Kureimat is located 95 K M south Cairo on the eastern bank of Nile river, in
the zone administered by Upper Egypt Electricity Production Co. By the
completion of all of its modules, Kureimat will become the biggest electricity
generation compound in Egypt with 2900 MW installed capacity, higher than the
Aswan High Dam's 2100 MW. |
